More Spring Planting

Well, we got more plants in the ground/containers last weekend.  We had to expand the garden because we have so many plants this year.  Let me give you a run through.

This is the eggplant we planted next door at Jay's.  There are three of them.

Here we have our poblano and 4 different types of tomato plants.  Three of them are red tomatos whose size should be from 5oz to 1 lb, and yellow super sweet cherry tomatos.

This is our butternut squash.  We shall have to see how it does.  It is supposed to be vining, hence the trellises. Jay has corn planted between the tomatos above and the butternut squash.  He planted three rows, I hope it does better this year.

In this expanded area we now have the following: tomatos, brussel sprouts, bok choi, cucumbers, serrano peppers, jalepenos, habeneros, anaheim peppers, eggplant, tomatillos, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, purple bell pepper and garlic.

The onions, spinach, lettuce and carrots are still growing well in the raised box.  Kandle is regularly harvesting the spinach and lettuce.  Our yellow, zucchinni and flying saucer squash are growing and expanding nicely.  I also built a new 8 ft tall trellis for our grapevine to use this year!

We also planted oregano, parsely, chives, majoram, sage, catnip, peppermint, lavender, and strawberries in hanging baskets on the porch.

Overall, I think our garden is going well.  Had to cover everything up with towels and blankets because of the freeze this morning, but I'm hoping everything make it just fine!
